UC861Joel Wainman (SSLL Racing Team) took victory by just five seconds in the Hull Thursday 23.5-mile time trial on the V733 near Beverley in East Yorkshire.
Despite windy conditions Wainman's time of 50 minutes and 47 seconds over the reduced circuit was enough for a narrow five seconds victory over Stewart Gormley (Team Swift).
Due to roadworks the proposed V733 circuit was shortened but still took riders on a loop from Beverley towards Driffield on the A164 before looping around on the more hilly B1248.
Wainman conquered the hilly circuit to add to his victory in the Cleveland Coureurs 25 last month- clocking 51.18 on that occasion.
Taking third place was Stewart Pickard (Vive le Velo) in 54.01.
