Course Description

Course description: A 22-mile circuit course based on Stewarton, Ayrshire.                 

Start on Kirkford Road heading south, after its junction with Holm Street and at the south corner of the inshot to the group of houses on the left called “Kirkford”.  After 2.2 miles turn left on to Kilmaurs Road and proceed to a left turn at Fenwick roundabout (5.0 miles) on to the A77.  Proceed straight through at the next roundabout (5.2 miles) at the foot of a short descent, and bear left at the next roundabout to stay on the A77.  Just before Newton Mearns, turn left on to Malletsheugh Rd (15 miles), then turn left on to Dodside Road (15.5 miles) and ride over the Quarry Climb, past the White Loch, to finish at the telegraph-pole beside a cottage called Braemar House (22.4 miles) just before Stewarton.
