Upton Hill GCCC course

The course is approx. 1.5 miles long with a gradient averaging 7%. It is semi rural, being outside the city boundary on a B road approximately 6 metres wide. There are few accesses from the LH side, while those on the RH side of the road are mostly residential although one is to a farm with stables and another is access to a hotel. Speed limit on the first half of the course is 30mph, rising to 40mph. Visibility is good. Start (Rance Lane) and Finish (Watery Lane) are both minor cul-de-sacs giving good positions off the classified road for officials.
