On Hill Road east of Watlington, SU697940 start on the flat section just before the hill starts, about 300 yards before the Ridgeway crossing point. Head up the hill to cross the Ridgeway and up the initial steep section of around 15%, care for byway traffic joining the road from the Ridgeway. Head up onto the flatter section of 6% and pass a couple of field entry gates, continue as the slope steepens to 10% and finish at the entrance to the National Trust Car park sign post on the left hand side.
