START on the A6 south bound carriageway at painted mark on kerb at the southerly end of the layby on top of the climb from Junction 42 of the M6 (approx 0.5 miles south of motorway junction.) Proceed south on the A6 to Stoneybeck roundabout (Bowscar) (11.4m), where right onB5305 to M6 Motorway roundabout J40 (12.36m). Encircle roundabout and retrace along B5305 to Stoneybeck roundabout where left onto A6 north. Proceed north on A6 past the start to finish at skid warning sign approximately 10 yards after clearway end signs and 0.3 miles from M6 J42 roundabout (25m).
