Jack Levick earned victory in the men’s event while Joy Payne was triumphant in the women’s category at the Leicester Forest CC 50-mile time trial on Sunday morning.

Rose Race Team rider Levick set an untouchable time of 1-42-07 to claim his eighth time trial success of an impressive season, more than five minutes ahead of Team Bottrill’s Neal Parkin in 1-47-46 and Paul Westwood of Lichfield City CC who clocked 1-49-28.

Payne, riding for High Wycombe CC, also dominated the field in the women’s event with a time of 2-15-47, beating the 2-20-49 set by Gretchen Zoeller of Ilkeston CC, while Sarah Soden (Leicester Forest CC) took the final podium place in 2-26-24.

This is Levick’s first time trial success since winning the Lincolnshire RRA 10 on May 21, although before that she was victorious at the Manchester & District TTA 10 in February, the Spalding CC 18.2-mile TT, City Road Club (Hull) 10, Rossington 9.5 and Sleaford Wheelers 10 in April, as well as the 25-mile Drighlington BC time trial in May.

The route, on course A50/13, starts near Park Farm on Park Hill Lane then heads onto the A46 northbound until Farndon Island then proceeding southbound on Fosse Road, through Farndon and East Stoke then turning left at The Eden Hall Spa onto Lodge Lane.

After joining the A46 southbound, riders pass Six Hills and finish just outside the Six Hills Café.
