Adam Duggleby

Adam Duggleby and Fiona Sharp were the fastest male and female respectively at the Selby CC 10-mile time trial that took place near North Duffield on Sunday morning.

Duggleby (Vive Le Velo) clocked a time of 19-38 to set the fastest time by any rider on the day and break the course record by 30 seconds that was previously held by Simon Beldon.

The Vive Le Velo rider was last victorious the previous day, when he also broke course record in the Sheffrec CC 25-mile time trial in South Yorkshire. Prior to that he won the Cleveland Coureurs 10 last weekend and will be hoping to continue his excellent form of late over the coming weeks, as he is set to ride at the Mapperley CC 10 next weekend.

Fiona Sharp (Team Swift) finished her run with a time of 23-26 to finish as fastest female but also the fastest rider over the age of 40. Her time also betters the women's course record by an impressive 22 seconds.

Sharp adds this victory to the one she achieved at the Drighlington BC 25 last weekend and will be hoping to build on her fine form over the coming months of the season.

George Evans (Team Bottrill) was the man to claim the second step on the podium after he finished his run with a time of 20-06 to clinch his share of the prize money.

The Team Bottrill rider adds this podium finish to the second place he achieved at the Fibrax Wrexham RC hilly 32 at the end of April and will be looking to achieve more podium finishes throughout the campaign.

Hayden Allen (THRE Datawolves RT) finished his run with a time of 20-28 to claim third place.

Meanwhile, in the tandems event Andy and Carolyn Bell (Selby CC) were fastest in 25-18.

The out and back course saw the riders start and finish near the banks of the River Derwent on the A163.

The course saw the riders follow the A163 towards Barlby before making a turn and heading back along the same route to the finish.
