Rich Hunt and Naomi Shinkins topped the podium at the New Forest CC 33-mile time trial in Hampshire on Sunday morning.

Hunt (Army Cycling) finished his run with a time of 1-14-30 to set the fastest time by any rider on the day and claim the top prize.

Triathlete Naomi Shinkins (Bournemouth Cycleworks) finished her run with a time of 1-30-03 to set the fastest time by a female rider on the day.

Hunt was last victorious at the Chippenham and District Wheelers 50 in September of last year. He has also achieved a second-place finish earlier this season at the Alton CC 24.9 at the beginning of April and will be hoping to add more to his record throughout the coming months.

The 47-year-old is next due to compete at the Andover Wheelers 25 next weekend.

Shinkins last achieved a podium finish at the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers 42km at the beginning of April and will be looking to add more over the season.

Nick Tarmey (Velo Club Venta) was the man to finish second on the podium after clocking a time of 1-15-09.

Tarmey has been in excellent form throughout the start of the new open season as he adds another podium finish to his record. His last victory came at the Sotonia CC 14.8 in mid-April.

Andrew Rivett (VC St Raphael/Waites Contracts) finished in third with a time of 1-17-12 just six seconds ahead of teammate Simon Berogna.

The 33-mile course saw the riders start at New Milton before heading towards Lymington, before making their way across Beulieu Heath to Lyndhurst and then making a turn on to the A35 towards the finish.
