David Mead and Lydia Watts topped the podium as the fastest male and female respectively at the Coventry Road Club/Klin Cut Apparel 10-mile open time trial on Saturday afternoon.

Mead (Race Rapid) set the fastest time by any rider on the day when he finished his run with a time of 19-22. He was last victorious at the Leicester Forest CC 10 at the start of August and also topped the podium at the Team Bottrill 10 in mid-June.

He is next set to ride at the VC Sevale 10 next weekend where he will be hoping his good form can continue.

James Chapman (Team PB Performance) was the man to finish in second after finishing his run with a time of 19-50 respectively.

Jack O’Neil (Team Jewson) completed the podium when he crossed the line with a time of 19-54.

Lydia Watts (Cycle Team OnForm) topped the podium in the women’s event after clocking a time of 23-06 respectively.

She adds this victory to the one she achieved at the Didcot Phoenix Cycling Club 10 in mid-August. The Espoir also finished third at the Didcot Phoenix Cycling Club 25 in the same month.

She will be looking to build on her good for over the remainder of the season and add more positive results to her personal record.
