REPORT: Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers 25 (P413/25, Lytchett Matravers, Dorset):

Sam Wadsley smashed his own course record as he took victory in the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers 25 in Lytchett Matravers on Sunday.

Sam Wadsley

The Primera-Teamjobs rider set a time of 50.10 to win by 1.16 and break his own record set in 2017. He also led home a one-two for his team with veteran team mate Paul Jones second in 51.16. Poole Wheeler Steve Pink completed the podium in 52.35.

Michelle Walter

Although it was a record for Wadsley, he has gone quicker over the same distance on several occasions, including at the a3crg 25 on June 20th when 49.52 was enough to place him fourth.

This is the second win in a Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers event this season with a 10-mile win coming in June for the espoir rider.

There was disappointment for Naomi Shinkins of Bournemouth Cycleworks after she set the fastest woman’s time of the day but was later disqualified for riding the Holton Heath section before the Upton.

With Shinkins out of the equation, it was Michelle Walter of Bournemouth Arrow CC who was given first place in a time of 1:04.24.
