Senter storms to King’s Lynn win

Matthew Senter won the King’s Lynn CC 25 for a second year running with a fine performance at the Fincham event on Saturday.

He headed up a Team Velovelocity one-two with his team mate Ben Stancombe in second place, just 11 seconds off the winning pace.

Senter averaged almost 28mph as he blasted round the course in 53.42to take top place. Stancombe’s time of 53.53 saw him take second.

The two Velovelocity riders were considerably quicker than the rest of the field with home club rider Steven Neill quickest veteran in third place, stopping the clock in 57.23.

And Velovelocity took the team prize by a fair margin with David Procter finishing fourth to combine with Senter and Stancombe for a time of 2:45.13. The placing also made him second fastest veteran. Third quickest veteran was sixth-placed Robert Golding in Ely & District CC.

Chanel Mason, finishing in 9th place overall, was the fastest woman on the day, the Storey Racing completing in 59.27.

Verity Smith, finishing in 23rd place overall, was the second fastest woman on the day, the Stowmarket & District CC veteran completing in 1:05.49.

Kay Burgess of King’s Lynn CC was third in 1:09.30.

Top espoir rider in 20th place overall was King’s Lynn MTB Club’s Myles Highby in 1:02.55. Tandem team o0f Mark Farrow of Team PedalRevolution.co.uk and Paul Hughes of VC Norwich completed in 59.45.
