After finishing on the podium at the last three events he entered, Neil Lauder of PMR @ Toachim House finally landed a win in the 10-mile Catford CC event on Saturday. 

After finishing third in both the Southborough & District and Thanet RC two-up events and second in the West Kent RC 10 in recent weeks, it was a fantastic ride for Lauder.

It represented both his first time on the Tonbridge course and a new personal best over the distance in a time of 19.12.

Nicholas Fennell of Thanet RC is another rider who has been a regular on the podium and he racked up yet another here, finishing second in 19.49.

Team Wiggins rider Oliver Robinson just missed out on going under 20 minutes but his ride of 20.07 was enough to place the espoir rider third.

The women’s category proved to be very competitive with Ruth Summerford fastest woman in 21st place overall in 22.18. Jacintha Hamilton-Love of Dulwich Paragon CC was second in 22.59 and third was Folkestone Velo Club veteran Susan Walbrook in 25.54.

In fourth place, Rob Stephenson of Southborough & District Wheelers completed in 20.12 to take the veteran prize. Michael Davey of Eastbourne Rovers CC was second quickest veteran in sixth place overall with 20.22. Third was Davey’s team mate Matt Kuwertz, eighth overall in 20.35.
