Veteran Springfield Financial rider Derek Parkinson took victory over 100 miles in the SCCA and WCTTCA event held in Prees, Shropshire on Sunday.
His time of 3:46.32 was enough to give him both first overall and top prize for veteran on standard. They were the only two riders in the competition to go under the four-hour mark.
Mid Shropshire Wheelers member Victor Chetta was second in a time of 3:47.47 and Ribble Valley CRC’s Matthew Stell was third in 4:00.41.
Rebecca Holland of Chester RC was first woman, stopping the clock at 4:32.13. This was enough to give her an impressive 16th place overall with the closest competitor for the women’s prize being Rachael Gorman of Liverpool Phoenix CC in 4:49.42.
The third woman was Jennifer York of Mid Shropshire Wheelers who completed the course in the time of 4:54.53.
