Joel Wainman (SSLL Racing Team) battled windy conditions to snatch victory by nine seconds in the Cleveland Coureurs 25.

A time of 51 minutes and 18 seconds was enough to seal Wainman the victory from Sean Tyson (Adept Precision RT) who finished in 51.37.

The win came a week after he finished 10th in the National 100 Championship in a time of 3:39.33.

On this occasion he wasn’t to be beaten as he flew out and back on the A19 that borders the North York Moors National Park.

Rounding off the podium and only 20 seconds behind the winner was Richard Buckley (Border City Wheelers) in 51.38.

Fastest woman was Kerry Gowland (Team Bottrill) in a time of 59.20, while James Mayo (Stockton Wheelers) was fastest veteran on standard.
