Matt Langworthy (Mid Devon CC) took victory by over a minute in less than perfect conditions in the Tavistock Wheelers 25 staged on the S5/25s near Tavistock in Devon on Sunday morning.

The National Junior Best All Rounder title winner and junior 25 miles record holder made light work of the out and back course clocking a time of 58.49.

Behind, other riders battled with heavy traffic and a north easterly wind as Mark Lees (Tanks Direct CC) was the only other rider to go just under the hour clocking 59.57.

Third place on the day and first veteran was Lees’ team-mate Steven Sage in 1 hour and 22 seconds.

Plymouth Corinthians picked up the team prize after placing three riders in the top 10.

First woman was Zoe Betteridge (North Devon Whls) in 1:11.45 while the first junior home was Phoebe Lloyd-Evans who clocked 1:22.04.
