Michael Broadwith (Artic Tacx RT) took victory by 48 seconds in the Hemel Hempstead Hilly 21.5 miles event clocking a time of 50.43 for the F11/22 at Great Gaddesden in Hertfordshire on Sunday.

It was a day that belonged to Artic Tacx who recorded a one-two with Danny Axford taking second place in 51.31.

Only Luke Clarke (TMG Horizon CT) could stop a podium clean sweep for the team as he clinched third ahead of Paul Lewis.

Broadwith previously took fourth place in the national 100 mile time-trial championships back in 2014 when he also finished 32nd in the national hill climb.

It came as no surprise that Artic Tacx RT also clinched victory in the team competition while the quickest woman was host club rider Jody Connibear in one hour two minutes and 25 seconds.

The quickest rider on a road bike couldn’t have been closer with not a second separating Roy Chamberlain (Corley Cycles) and Ben Stowe (Hemel Hempstead CC) with both riders recording 55.18 to share first prize and ninth overall.
