start on east side of unclassified road leading from rainton village to a168 at dishforth, at southern gatepost of entrance to field, approx. 250yds south of 30 mph signs. proceed south to rainton t.i. (0.84mls) where take 1st exit (left) down slip-road to join a168 dual carriageway. continue on a168/a19 to slip-road leading to a684 (signed northallerton) (17.47 mls). bear left down slip-road, left again (care!! – give way) to pass under a19 dual carriageway. continue, bearing left, to join a19 southbound carriageway (18.39mls). proceed south on a19 to slip-road signed a61 thirsk, a170 scarborough (26.07mls). bear left down slip-road, pass under a19 dual carriageway, to south kilvington t.i. take 3rd exit (right) and continue down slip-road to join a19 northbound carriageway (26.90mls). proceed north on a19 to slip-road leading to a684 (2nd time 34.40mls). left down slip-road, left, and continue left, to join a19 southbound carriageway. proceed south on a19/a168, via thirsk by-pass, to finish at nycc litter sign, in 1st lay-by after crossing river swale, topcliffe (50.00mls).
