Description

Halifax Imperial Wheelers are proud to take on the running of the Ripponden Bank Hill Climb. We look forward to receiving your entry whether it's your your first hill climb or your 50th. Please feel free to ask questions via email or HxImpstagram on Instagram

HQ - Ripponden Community Centre. Toilets, water bottle refills and changing available

The climb was used in the Tour de France grand depart in 2014 and is 1320 yards or 1200 m long. Average gradient is 7.8% but has much steeper points.
It starts as the road kicks up and starts steeply. Don't burn all your matches getting round the hairpin as you have the majority of the climb left to go. The climb finishes at the layby after the Fleece Inn pub so save a last effort to sprint as you get past the pub!

There are some great places to visit in the area. The village itself has numerous pubs and eateries. Please support the Bridge Inn if you are able as they have allowed us to use their car park again. They do a cracking pie and pint!

Keep an eye on HxImpstagram on Instagram for updates and prizes.
