Start in pull-in (AA box no. 161) approx 25 yds east of and opposite Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn and east of A479 junction. Proceed on A40 to climb hill to Bwlch (3.5 miles), continue on A40 via Llansantffraed, Scethrog, Llanhamlach to Brecon East roundabout (10.5 miles). Encircle roundabout taking 4th exit to retrace on A40 via Llanhamlach, Scethrog, Llansantfraed to climb to Bwlch (18.2 miles). Descend hill (CARE on RH hairpin) to continue descending to take SHARP left WITH CARE (adverse camber) to continue on A40 to FINISH at mark by field entrance and opposite 'Glenusk Estate' entrance (21.6 miles)
