START to the west of Pegswood on Dark Lane at the speed de-restriction sign at the gap in the hedge. Proceed to the Whorral Bank roundabout and take the first exit onto the A197 in the direction of Ashington. Continue over the roundabout to the outskirts of Ashington, through the pedestrian crossing (riders refer to safety notes in race instructions) then take the left turn onto the A1068 (at 3.6 miles) to continue north over the Linton and Ellington roundabouts. At Widdrington South roundabout (9 miles), bear right in the direction of Amble, then straight on at the Widdington North roundabout along the A1068 until left turn onto the B1330 (10.25 miles) via Red Row, South Broomhill and Broomhill (be aware of traffic calming priorities). Take left turn onto B6345 (13.3 miles) via Acklington until the marshalled left turn (17 miles) onto an unclassified road via Stobswood, Widdrington Station and take the double right turn (20.5 miles) onto the B1337 to Ulgham. For the FIRST LAP, continue through Ulgham on the B1337, via Longhirst (traffic calming priorities) to return to Whorral Bank roundabout and and START OF NEXT LAP (26 miles). On the second lap, turn left at Longhirst Church onto Butchers Lane to FINISH approximately 150 metres at the speed de-restriction sign.
