Henrietta Colborne report

I am currently in the middle of a block of races in Holland and Belgium, using the CTT funding to support myself. I raced the BeNe ladies tour this past weekend and here's the race report.
BeNe Ladies Tour

120 riders started the BeNe ladies tour, my first UCI women's stage race. The first stage was brutal with 10km of cobbles and strong cross winds making a split in the Peleton inevitable. As the race settled down, I found myself in the third group where I finished. The second stage was a 75 km race with 3km of cobbles, where, after making my way to the front of the cobbled section stretched the Peleton out, I missed the crashes in bunch to roll in safely.

In the afternoon we had a 10km TT, the wind as always was present on the second half of the time trial, just as the fatigue started to creep in. I finished with a time of 14:05 which I was happy with, putting me 43rd for that stage.

The last stage was 113km. By the second lap I attacked and formed a group of 10 riders that escaped for 1/2 lap. Coming back into the Peleton I concentrated in keeping at the front of the race and came 16th in the final sprint. Overall the BeNe ladies tour was an amazing learning opportunity where I have learnt lots and found areas to improve.
