Double national champion Hayley Simmonds (CAMS Racing) will face tough opposition in a field stacked with talent at Saturday’s Lee Valley CC 10 which starts a weekend of time trial action.

The afternoon event takes place on the out and back E2/10 course on the A11 near Cambridge.

Simmonds starts as last woman having won the National Circuit and Team Time Trial Championships already this season.

The 32-year-old has a personal best of 18-36 and won the AeroCoach 10 for road bikes in 21-30 earlier this season.

Alice Lethbridge (Drag2Zero) has clocked a time of 20-47 in the Hemel Hempstead 10 and will be hoping to challenge.

However, experience riders Angela Carpenter (...A3crg) and Sally Turner (TrainSharp) will also be targeting victory.

Veteran Matthew Smith (Drag2Zero) starts as last man having won the East Anglian VTTA also on the E2/10 course in a time of 17-59.

Lloyd Chapman (Loose Cannon's Conditioning) has taken four wins and set 18-59 to win the Stowmarket & District CC 10.

Meanwhile, Zachary Herrod (AeroLab Ward WheelZ) is amongst the other challengers having won three events already this season.

Amongst the other events on Saturday Christopher McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) will look to continue his impressive start to the season in the Crawley Whs 10.

Ashley Cox (Team Bottrill) will be hoping to make it five wins from six races when he starts in Sunday’s Finsbury Park 50.

He will have to watch out for early starter Luke Clarke (TMG Horizon Cycling Team) who won the Team Salesengine.co.uk on his last outing.

Deborah Moss (Team Merlin) will be looking to continue her stellar form this season when she starts in the VTTA (Lancs & Lakes) 50.

Amongst her challengers in the women’s event will be Sammie Stuart (Crimson Orientation Marketing RT) as they compete on the out and back L5012 course between Cockermouth and Keswick.

Tom Thornely (Buxton CC/Sett Valley Cycles) starts as last man after clocking 1-43-47 last week on his way to seventh in the C.C Breckland 50.

Tommy Murray (GS Metro) could provide opposition after finishing almost three minutes faster than Thornely in the same event last weekend.

After four top-six finishes this season Harley Matthews (DAP Cycling Club) will start as last man in Sunday’s Wolsey RC men’s event over 25 miles.

However, he will have to fend of the challenges of Lloyd Chapman (Loose Cannon's Conditioning) and Gareth Pymm (Team Bottrill) amongst others.

The women’s event will see Hannah O’Brien (Loose Cannon's Conditioning) and Amy Pritchard (Giant Camden Team Liv) and others battle it out for honours.

Marcel Schubert (Darlington Cycling Club) has shown his form already this season with three wins and will be looking to increase his tally at Sunday’s Stockton Whs CC 25.

Duncan Mullier (Harrogate Nova CC) will start as last man on the T252/3 between Middlesbrough and Thirsk.

Meanwhile, Emma Matthews (Sowerby Sunday Club) will start as last woman.
