JACKSON V TYE

Andy Jackson (SSLL RT) rides the VTTA Championship `30` at Hamstreet, Kent, where he has team mates Jon Surtees and Blair Buss, Jonathan Parker (Team Bottrill) and Kevin Tye (VeloRefined-Aerosmiths) to beat while leading woman is Bronwen Ewing (Trainsharp RT). Tye also rides Saturday's Farnborough & Camberley CC `25` at Bentley. John Dewey (Team Bottrill), Liam Maybank (Twickenham CC) and Rob Sharland (Paceline RT) also compete.

GRAVES UP AGAINST SSLL RT

We must be getting well in to the season now as many of our leading competitors are riding two events this weekend. Man of the moment Philip Graves (Clifton CC York) goes for Saturday's Otley CC's SPOCO `10` at Arkendale and then chases further success on Sunday in the Yorkshire Coast Clarion 24-mile event. At the Otley promotion his opposition includes Jonathan Wears (SSLL RT) and Mark Wolstenholme (Team Swift) while Jessica Bacon (York Cycleworks) is among the women entered. Sunday finds more SSLL RT riders taking on Graves, Alastair Wareham and Joel Wainman.

Jonathan Wears is back in action for the Lancaster CC Hilly `21` where Stephen Ayres (Bronte Wheelers) and Gethin Butler (Preston Wheelers) ride. Gethin is also riding Saturday's Barrow Central Wheelers SPOCO `21` at Ulverston where Richard Bickley (Border City Wheelers), Derek Parkinson (Springfield Financial) and Peter Greenwood (Team Swift) oppose.

ROBSON & AXFORD CHASE MORE WINS

Dean Robson (Nopinz) looks to add to this season's wins in the Bynea CC `30` where he will have to beat Kieron Davies (drag2zero). A winner last week in the Oxonian event, Danny Axford (Arctic-Tacx RT) heads the field in the Watford Velo `14` at Great Hampton, Buckinghamshire, where the women include Jody Conibear (Hemel Hempstead CC).

CHILDS CHASES RN TITLES

The weekend also sees the Northover Vets `10 and `25` which also includes the Royal Navy Championships at Yeovilton. Sean Childs (Royal Navy & Royal Marines), Conrad Moss (Mid Devon CC) and Matt Slater (Revo Racing) are among those who ride both while Matt Burden (Severn RC) just goes for the `10`.

Sarah Storey

CHAMPION STOREY IN ACTION

Paracycling World Champion Sarah Storey (Podium Ambition powered by Club La Santa) and her teammate Lauren Creamer head the women's entry in the Macclesfield Wheelers `25` where Ben Mcintosh (Velotik RT), Neil Skellern (Team Swift), Mark Turnbull (TORQ Performance) and Paul Shalliker (coveryourcar) are the leading men.

The Yorkshire CF points series `10` has Robby Krygsman and Richard Dixon (Team SWift), Dan Taylor (Birdwell Wheelers) and Mark Thaxter (HD Revolutions) riding while Steve Dennis and Mark Bashford (East Grinstead CC) team up for the Sussex CA 2-up 28.5-mile time trial.
