Event Headquarters:
Numbers, signing on, results and parking are at The Station Hotel, Caton, O.S map 97, GR531648. Approaching on the A683 from the M6 junction 34 the Station Hotel is on the south eastern corner of the mini-roundabout, opposite the Post Office, in Caton.
The landlord of the Station Hotel has kindly offered the free use of the hotels facilities, toilets, etc., I would be grateful if riders and their families could show their appreciation of this on the day.
Please respect local residents and keep noise to a minimum - we have also been specifically requested not to leave litter.
THESE ARE COUNTRY ROADS IN NEED OF REPAIR IN PLACES – PLEASE TAKE CARE

Riders are asked to take particular care at the following points on the course:
• The junction of the A683 and B6480 – riders stay on the A683 but there is a danger from traffic wanting to turn right on to the B6480.
• Hornby – there is a very sharp turn in the A683 coming into Hornby.
• Melling – rumble strips.
• Greta Bridge – there is another very sharp left turn in the A683 just after the bridge.
• Tunstall – rumble strips.
• Junction of A683 with A65 – take care turning left on to the A65 at Kirkby Lonsdale.
• Whittington – rumble strips.
In the interests of safety:
• Any competitor making a “U” turn in the vicinity of the start or finish will be disqualified from the event.
• Riders must keep to the left hand side of the road except when overtaking.
• Riders must give their number at the finish and elsewhere on the course if requested.
• Riders must NOT STAND in the road at the start or finish. (This constitutes obstruction and is BREACH OF Regulations.)
• Riders must NOT ride with their heads down.
• All competitors under the age of 18 and/or juniors must wear a HELMET of HARD/SOFT SHELL that conforms to a recognised standard (see Regulation 15). Cycling Time Trials strongly recommends ALL competitors to wear such a helmet.
• Times will not be given to competitors or supporters at the finish.
• No vehicle or competitors to stop on road or verge at the finish. Riders should proceed directly to the headquarters.
Competitors Machine – Lights: CTT recommends that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted in a position clearly visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
